Full Circle

Well when I was 17 I had a very nice well optioned 67 SS. Long story short the car went away. I used to dream of having another one.
Then back in 94 I hunted high and low for another Camaro. I could have had a nice automatic car, but refused to settle. Then I drug one home from Reno. Put the engine together, and got it running good.
It was a very well optioned early 67 SS, 4-spd, disc brake, Ac, console gauges, deluxe interior, fold down rear seat.. car... Original Tahoe Turquoise.

Well needless to say divorced forced me to do the single dad thing, and sell the car.

Fast forward to a couple months ago. I was at a car show with my Nova, and a guy pulls up next to me in a 67 SS. Well I peeked in as always to see if it had the right amount of pedals, yep. then I look to see that it was an early 67 with all the options of my old car.

I asked him how long he had had the car. "Oh I bought this back in 96," I said where did you get it? He said way up near an area I was from.
I said this was my car. Turns out he bought it from me. Had photos in his album from when He got it from me.
Turns out he and his young son where working on restoring it when his little boy got sick. Well sadly his little boy passed, and never got to cruze in the car.

The car was painted and the interior finished, and then this gentleman, sold the car to another person 70 miles away. This man never drove the car. It stayed in his garage for over 20 years.

Well the gentleman that bought it from me. Stopped by to see the man he had sold it to only to find it hadn't been driven and he said he would sell it back to him. This took place back in April.

3 days ago I get a message from him wondering If I would like to have it back... Well needless to say its in my shop.
I'm feeling very blessed. It still has the tires on it that I bought for it back in 95. I found an old registration, from me when I had it. As well as a rolodex card, from me with the guys name on it, that I bought it from. It needs a few little things of course, funny thing is it needs the things now, that it did when I had it. But that will be handled.
