Hi Everyone,

I bought a 69 convertible project a couple of years ago and have been spending weekends on a significant rebuild. A previous owner had done a rather nice job replacing most of the metal on the car and it is primer. Other than the motor (late 70s 350) the car appears to be very original, but is missing a lot of stuff and what is there needs restoration or replacement. The fire wall is original - I found both hidden VINS that match the dash VIN - and is rust free.

This is X11 NOR assembled car with body build of 02B. It has a std black bucket interior (711), console w/o gauges, air conditioning and a paint code of 40 (butternut yellow). The best I can tell the car originally came with a V8, but certainly not a 350. It had a THM350, but I have already swapped it out for a Muncie M21, multi-leaf springs and a tall geared 10 bolt w/o posi-traction - which will be swapped out.

I plan on building a street car for weekend cruising. I'll discuss more of the build in detail in later posts and try to figure out how to add pictures. Seems like this is a pain in the rear. For now I am planning on adding the rally sport option. I was hoping someone could send me an email with a drawing of modifications to the inner front fender-wells required for RS.

Thanks,
Craig
