Should I restore a 1985 Berlinetta???

A $100.00 camaro and a dream...

1985 Berlinnetta, T-Top, 305CID and a whole lot of work. I'm making time because I need a project. The car sat in front of a bar for two years and was owned by the bar manager who is also a master in witchcraft. I'm Catholic...I wanted the challenge to rebuild the car and cast out it's deamons...

James

Where pray tell do I start???

Why not? Parts are cheap and plentiful, if you have the know how and determination, I say go for it! I'll be praying for you!

Do it.
A few reasons why . . . .
It's not an import ( which would be a waste of time )
It's not a classic so you don't have to worry about keeping it original
When you tear it apart you are treading on the wizards property.

Thats the thing. Nothing to lose.
When he got done there would very well be no signs that it ever was a Berlinetta. Only a nicely done 3rd gen. If nothing else a very nice looking grocery getter.

Go for it! Maybe an exorcism right after the purchase or not.

Cars do get a personality and it remains regardless of what is done. Maybe when you find out what personality she/he has, maybe you could work it to your advantage........could be another Christine..........

Welcome to team camaro!! Sell the evil junk!! If you put more than 2400.00 in the car you will probally never get your money back and the car will remain in the devils grip for eterinty!! Bill's right. You put your blood, sweat, and tears into a project and find yourself way under water. Put your efforts into something that will at least return your investment.

Re: Should I restore a 1985 Berlinetta???

When Christine got crushed, maybe she was remade into an '85 Camaro!

Just kidding.

SERIOUSLY! With the goverment about to destroy these cars, RESTORE ONE NOW WHILE YOU STILL HAVE THE CHANCE! It is YOUR LIFE it is YOUR CHOICE. If you want to do it, go for it! You only go through life once, make it a good one, THIS CAR WILL BE A CLASSIC NEXT YEAR.

DO WHAT GIVES YOU MORE SATISFACTION, BE HAPPY WITH IT. A REAL CAR GUY RESTORES AND FIXES UP HIS CARS FOR A PLEASURE, NOT AN INVESTMENT.
