Edelbrock Carb Intake for the LS

Have a '69 with a cowl hood. Thinking of going fuel injected LS but want to keep the air intake through the cowl hood. Has anyone used the Edelbrock carb intake and drilled/tapped the injector bosses to run EFI?

Sounds cool and would allow me to use the cowl intake. Any info out there?

Thanks,

Re: Edelbrock Carb Intake for the LS

You can buy them already drilled from GMPP, Edelbrock and others. A few guys locally are running them with 105mm throttle bodys and 90 degree elbows with great results. You could do the same thing without the elbow but a 4500 style throttle body will be expensive. You should plan on having someone touch up the tune afterward and also plan on aftermarket fuel rails and regulator.

I have heard of very impressive top end gains but your going to lose some low end also. If your running a stick shift or have a stall it shouldnt be an issue.

Re: Edelbrock Carb Intake for the LS

That's exactly what I'm talking about!

Wow, the intake looks kinda tall for a stock cowl. What part of OK are you in? I'd like to see some of these.
