Pro flo injector alternatives

I need some help. My friend has the older pro-flo system on his 383 chevy and has 5 injectors that will not open reliably and cause erratic operation. The edelbrock pn 3585 27lb is some oddball weber injector used on the Lamborghini diablo according to a website I saw. They run around $80 each, So I need to know if anyone has ever ran a different hopefully less expensive injector on this system? He has the 900 cfm throttle body version on edlebrock performer heads ~9.5 CR and the comp Nitrous express 280 cam. Thanks for the input.

I ran the 3500 Eddy Proflow set up on my ZZ3 crate motor. I believed they were 24# injectors. I was told not to change to larger injectors as my chip was set up for these.
There are companies out there that offer rebuilt injectors. If you are in need, try

These devices are electronically controlled and can be opened up to clean. That could be your problem unless the circuit is gone.

Re: Pro flo injector alternatives

I have a set of 8 60 lb Motron injectors here, I went a little bigger for my setup in a lower impedance injector (83 lb siemens) since I run a Big Stuff 3 that has the drivers for low-z injectors. I'd sell for $400 shipped if you're interested. They swap in place of the Ford injectors mentioned above, I use them in the Grand Nationals I tune almost exclusively.
