weight of 350??

I am doing a swap from a stock 350 to a LS2 in my 69 conv. does anyone have any idea what the weight difference? I need to know so I can get the right springs on the front. thanks for any help Rob

An assembled Small Block usually clocks-in @575~580#'s - but they can go up/down a few pounds from there depending on parts and options ...

The LS2 with all accessories is about 450lbs, your going to be at least 100lbs lighter, probably closer to 125lbs lighter with the LS2. Good choice the LS2 is a wicked motor.

What did the 6 cyl weigh? For a stock suspension those might be a good match to the LS2.

I went with 150 lb lighter springs. I will let everyone know how it works out in about a year. thanks rob
