Question TBI for a blow through application?

I have seen a lot of throttle body injection units on the market, but was wondering if any of them can support a turbo blow through application?
I think a TBI would be more reliable and tuneable than a carb, but probably not as good as a port injected system.
Anyone have some info on this idea?

The Retrotek can. Call and ask for Cody. He's got a blow through Vortech on the Powerjection III in his '72 El Camino. Got the supercharger free too, the a-hole.

Just call 323-599-5032 and ask for Cody at extension 1404.

Re: TBI for a blow through application?

I have a retrotek with a procharger D1SC. Works nice now. Very easy to work with.

Re: TBI for a blow through application?

Thanx guys, I am going to look into this. Port injection is a consideration for my project, but there seems to be some complicated issues at higher boost levels. TBI would make it easier.

you have way more room for growth with a MPI system vs a TBI. TBI is fine, but you will be power limited due to only 4 injectors and the sizes available. For a mild to medium powered setup it'd work great, but won't work on a max effort build as you can't get enough fuel into the motor.

Re: TBI for a blow through application?

Thnax Jody,

I know there is more room for improvement with the MPI, and I have not ruled it out yet. I was just wondering what is available in TBI knowing that there has been a lot of progress made in the whole EFI world.

My little 250 may not need more than a good TBI unit can provide. I am at the bottom of a very steep leaning curve with turbos and EFI so I just want to make sure I don't overlook anything. That is also why I frequent many forums on these topics and toss out a few questions once in a while.

Originally the projest was going to be in and running for September, but I am looking at May now.
