Please help tpi

I have been considering efi in my 68. Considering a tpi 350 out of a 92 z/28 has a corvette programmer and all the pulley system and upgraded to the vette air flow sensor. Is this set up capable of 400+ hp with out dumping huge money into it. This motor is for sale 350 obo. Thanks for any help.

Re: Please help tpi

Because of the limited air flow of that tunned port setup you would be hard pressed to get 350 hp . That setup from the factory was about 240.

Certainly is not a bad deal providing everything comes with it - fuel pump?
You'll have to add O2 sensor unless OEM manifolds come with it.

As said, not a performer, excellent torque in lower rpm, but not a HP maker.

Re: Please help tpi

If your true goal is 400 hp it can be done with a TPI motor but it will cost big bucks. For the amount you would put into a TPI to make 400hp you could of had a LS1.

1969 Camaro Z-28 with a 2001 LS1, FAST 92mm Intake & TB, Comp Cam, headers, Cirle D Converter and 12 bolt moser 3:55 gear. (Didn't want to but had to sell)

Re: Please help tpi

Thanks for the help I think I will hold out even talked to a guy that said I would be better off with a 5.3 for the same money. Not really ready for the engine just thought it was a good deal.
