spectra tanks in Ontario

I can't find a place in Ontario that sells spectra efi tanks at the same price as in the states even though they are manufactured in Canada. For whatever reason, spectra distributes them through the states and we get them back with brokerage fees through CanUSA. Cheapest I can get is $675 which is stupid considering the dollar is prolly on par and I keep seeing $500 thrown around on other sites plus I was told they reduced the price even further recently. Rock Auto doesn't seem to carry them anymore - anyone know where I can get one cheap.
Wes, I tried your mailbox but its full. You're in Ontario and seem to have an in. Any ideas? I was told by a tech today at SPI that they are going to make an upgraded pump an option - any knowledge on that?
thanks
Scott

Try Dale's Muscle Car Parts in Bracebridge Ontario - maybe Dale can help you out, as he has found hard to get Camaro parts for me before.

Re: spectra tanks in Ontario

I'll try but when I've got quotes before its always been the same price I can get it for elsewhere or more. That and he's 4 hours away. I'll give him a call though.
I just found out they changed the part number to match the revision and Rock Auto has those for $326 CAD. Any other thoughts on getting one for that price without crazy shipping and brokerage?

Re: spectra tanks in Ontario

I dont see (and it is just a thought) that SPI will be adding any pump options soon...JUST MY THOUGHT. The reason i say that is they are still gettin these tanks to be really great and still working on the line. I think that the point is being missed THIS TANK will not work for everyone, but it is a good place to start!!!!! I have used this for a year and I am sorry for a hard driven street car it works GREAT. My other choice is to use a 1200-1400 tank and i cant do that. I dont see Rock Auto selling for under 300.00 bucks and i know of no part number change? Wes
