EZI EFI question

Guys, i am trying to set up a stack system ITB setup to a fast ezi efi.
it does have a vacuum plenum inbuilt for power brakes ect.

what my vendor here in Oz needs to know is 'should you use the plenum and map sensor or tune directly off TPS ?

The kit he sells uses the haltech platinum 500 setup with a "flying harness"
so he's not sure if the fast kit will be compatible. Im only purchasing the manifold ,throttlebodys, fuel rails and linkage kit from him.

any one help a novice with efi???

thanx , Gav

Re: EZI EFI question

Just tuning off the TPS will not be sufficient. You need to know engine load which is where the MAP sensor comes in. The TPS is used for acceleration enrichment but tuning solely off of it would make for a poor running system. You need more fuel for more load and less fuel for less load.

Can't say for the EZ-EFI but my system uses a fairly simple array for pulsewidth based on load and RPM. Additional fuel is added based on throttle angle change versus time (how quickly you mash it, like a pump shot). This is just the base map. There will be offsets based on load and closed loop control adds or subtracts fuel on the fly to hit target AFR.

Re: EZI EFI question

It can locate anywhere as long as it is plumbed to manifold vacuum.
