EZEFI Fuel Pump

I am just about to install my system and was looking over the best spot to mount the fuel pump. I have seen people mount them right next to the tank on a bracket but I was thinking of mounting it on the frame rail just in front of the back wheel.

Is it critical to mount the fuiel pump right adjacent to the tank or is it ok to mount it a little ways up the frame below the tank?

Thanks

Steve

Re: EZEFI Fuel Pump

i have that system in my 68 pick up, the camaro is still running a carb. My pump is 3 ft from the tank and about level with the tank. It feeds a dart headed, roller cammed 468 just fine. I see no issue with that. Also my friend has a 67 camaro thats mounted down the frame a bit and its fine as well.

Re: EZEFI Fuel Pump

electric pumps dont like to suck. should be installed nearest to the tank level with the bottom of the tank. . that way it will gravity feed to the pump.
