Newbie here saying hello to all

at need to be connected to
I am out of Norwalk, California, I no longer have my 85 IROC but do have a 87-89 5.7 TPI engine. I want to put that engine in a 1939 Chevy Master Deluxe, and have the factory engine compartment wiring harness. I am not sure of what color wires need to be connected to constant hot and switched hot, can someone help me out withthis information, and are there any other wires there any other wires needing to be connected to hot leads?

Re: Newbie here saying hello to all

Your best bet would be buy a Haynes manual for the year/model of the donor car the engine was removed from and use the schematics pointing out the battery source and switched source wires.
The majority of the switched wires, aka, injector power, are relay controlled. One ot the two wires in the injector connector, black wire, goes to relay and other side of relay to starter solenoid battery. Relay is contrlled by ign switch to close. The other wire of the inj conn goes to ECM and ECM controls inj 'on' time by placing a low voltage on the wire.

Welcome to the Club, Angel.
Reads like a good project. You might be nabbed for pictures.

Angel,

Head on over to "LS1TECH.com" and go into the "conversions and hybrids" section... tons of guys putting LT/LS motors into EVERYTHING! If you can't find the answer there, then you won't!
