It would be more cost effective and would work better to put a stock LS1 fuel injection set up on it. Intake, Fuel Rails, Injectors and throttle (you can buy complete for around $400) and depending on what he has for a harness and ECM/Spark Control now he can use a MSD EFI control http://www.summitracing.com/parts/msd-6010/overview/. Will also need to upgrade the fuel system for EFI. Will also need the EFI Harness http://www.summitracing.com/parts/msd-8886/overview/

Or you can go with this route which is super sweet. Just add injectors for $100, a TB and upgrade the fuel system.

IMHO if your'e going to run LS then EFI is the only way to go. The beauty of LS/EFI is being able to tune much better then you ever could with a carb.

Re: Ls1 with a carb on it want to switch back to aftermarket fuel inje

Take it to someone that knows how to tune the carb, way cheaper than switching to FI. Don't get me wrong, FI is sweet, but why throw a bunch of money at it if it just needs tuning.

Re: Ls1 with a carb on it want to switch back to aftermarket fuel inje

Could be as simple as a piece of trash in the needle/seat...or even more simple..a float adjustment. If neither of those, blow power valve is next on the list.

Re: Ls1 with a carb on it want to switch back to aftermarket fuel inje

I do not see the point of installing a ls motor without efi or like some I have seen without the o/d trans.
I do wish I had gone with a efi carb look alike and manifold with mine for looks, plastics ugly but cant beat the way it runs and the 18-28 mpg it now gets.
