What fuel tank you guys running?

I'm not EFI but boosted so need an EFI like fuel system. Been running a stock tank with the RobbMc 1/2" pickup and return so far. Works ok with a full tank but not so much once you get below 1/2 tank.

Just ordered a Glenn's Performance sump tank and hope that will work out well. Should be here in a few days.

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

Greg... Been thinking about running a similar setup on my car. Do you have any recommendations or potential gotchas for the Procharger and blow-thru carb? will be interested in how your new tank works out.

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

bkerns, I learned a lot and can help you avoid some mistakes. For one, buy a sumped tank up front! LOL. PM me any questions you have.

The tank arrived and looks like a nice piece. Really just a factory replacement tank (made in Canada) with a sump welded on. Was $399 plus shipping.

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

Thanks Greg O. Looks nice. Nice ride too by the way. I think I am headed down the MSD Atomic EFI route first now that it supports forced induction. The Procharger will be a little bit down the road but ultimately that is where I am headed.

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

I just read that article in either Car Craft or Chevy High Performance about the self tuning TBI systems and thought hmmm.... They look nice. Let us know how it goes.

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

I've been watching the market and researching self tuning EFI systems for a couple years. The only self tuning system to accept forced induction that I was aware of up until recently was the Retrotek Projection III. I came across the MSD Atomic EFI update a couple weeks ago and light bulbs started going off. I think it has all the features I've been looking for and the blow thru application is the cherry on top. It will be a little while before I get to the Procharger install but hope to start on the EFI upgrade in the next couple months. Will make sure I post up the progress on this board.

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

Vaporworks here. Return- less efi setup baffled and pickups allow running nearly dry before losing pressure .

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

Not done the Conversion yet!

But heading for a homemade narrowed tank in Alu in stock location!
Dropping the rear of tank slightly to compensate for narrowing!

Have bought a surgetank 1/2 Gal to be mount in trunk.
Using a Mallory 110Gph pump to feed surgetank.
And a FAST inline to feed Fuelrail from surgetank.

Going to speed-control the pumps with PWM so the run at 50% speed
Or so when crusing! And go 100% only when abowe 3000rpm!

Im using FAST Ez-EFI TBI, homemade controller for pumps.

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

Personally I'm not a fan of fuel tanks in the trunk...even a surge one. Get hit big in the rear and I'm on fire. Yikes!

Re: What fuel tank you guys running?

I'm going EFI with mine but as a few other have stated the Aeromotive stealth fuel tanks are great. You can see picks of mine on my build page here. https://www.camaros.net/forums/showth...=260121&page=2
