fuel sending unit modify for fitech efi

planning on putting the fitech efi system with the fuel command center. my fuel sender is new but doesnt have a return line can i drill drill a 1/4 " hole and glue or solder a 1/4 return line has anyone done this

I modified the sender on my 68 like you describe. I drilled and tapped a hole to 1/8npt, but had to use 2 fittings to be able to turn it to tighten and then it was taller than the feed line and hits the trunk floor, it is in and working and doesn't leak but it would be best to get a 2 line sender.

I thought the fuel command center didn't require a return line to the tank. It has a return line to its own reservoir.

It still requires it.

I had to do the same thing you are. I chose to put a new 2 line sending unit in. Done and working well.

Bolero Red/Black 67 rs/ss, 350 4-sp, Deluxe interior, slowly becoming a restomod
Aqua blue/White 77 LT Type, Built 305 auto, in the restomod process, wife's car since high school.
