Mis-Leading Advertising...

As stated elsewhere... I am in the middle of trying to tune a Holley Terminator system... Taking a break and watching TV while eating lunch... and watching some "car show" that has two dudes installing a LS3 into gold Trans Am. They went with a MSD Atomic MPI system for the LS3 injection/computer needs. They spent at least 5 minutes going on and on and on about how it is completely self tuning and self learning the system is. It is SO GOOD that it is way better that a dyno-tuner could ever achieve.

Assuming, these guys are "car guys" and that the people at the manufactures of these types of systems are "car guys"... I dont know how they can continue to advertise these systems as "self -tuning" and still sleep at night..

And why do we, as consumers, let these companies brainwash us otherwise? I have yet to hear/read from anyone who has had their system truly self-tune with out tweaking it...ya know kinda like a carb...

Advertise the systems for what they are... provide great support... and we will still by them.. because they are cool... once WE tune them...

Re: Mis-Leading Advertising...

I have a Dyno tuned stock LS1 and departed the shop with 350hp at the wheels, 400hp at the crank on a conservative tune. You won't get that with some box tune.

If it sounds too good to be true, well you know the rest!

I have the Atomic EFI and I can tell you that it is NOT as simple as advertised.

68 Camaro: SBC 396 Stroker motor from BluePrint and an MSD EFI.
