EFI kits

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone is using a Fitech or a sniper system, and is it worth the expense? From what I have read it supposed to be better on economy and gas mileage and performance. I am going to use tho original 307 mild cam maybe a Comp Nostalgia, Edelbrock Air Gap. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Stuart

Re: EFI kits

I have the FItech 600hp unit on my 70 chevelle 468. All of the things you've heard regarding performance and gas mileage were true for me. Install was simple, Adjustment took a little longer than I expected but that was due to my lack of experience. there is a lot of info on the team chevelle site regarding setup and tuning if you go that route, It helped me get mine setup. I did not use their fuel command center and went with an intank setup instead. I had read of some issues with the fcc, it needs a vent/return line to the tank. my chevelle did not have a return or vent originally. The option was drop the tank and add one to my old crusty tank or just replace it. A new tank+fcc almost matched the price of a efi tank. I decided to go with the efi tank for a cleaner install. I love it, the car is much more fun to drive now. the throttle response took a bit of getting used too. The first few times I drove resulted in multiple mild burn-outs, Now I need tires.
