Hyperspark Ignition Install

I'm in the process of installing a Hyperspark Ignition on my SBC. I'm looking to put the CDI box near where the battery was located under the hood. The Hyperspark coil is HUGE and I'd rather not ugly up my firewall by mounting it there. My Terminator ECU is in the glove box. There's plenty of room down by the CDI box to mount the coil, but that would make for a pretty long coil wire. Does anyone see a problem having a long coil wire or have a better solution on where to mount this ugly coil?

1968 that started life and a 6 banger with a PG. Now it's a 350 with a TKO600, Moser 12 bolt, Speedtech LCA/UCA, ATS Tall Spindles, Hotchkis Springs, Forgeline ZX3P, C5 (Kore3) brakes with other cool stuff from Ron Davis, Vintage Air and soon to be Terminator EFI.

Re: Hyperspark Ignition Install

I understand your problem.
My glove box area is full, HP ECU, MSD 6 AL,blaster coil.

I bought a MSD HVC-2 Coil a few weeks ago, that is BIG ! I sent it back. no way I was going to mount that thing on my firewall for the same reason I didn't want an MSD box there, looks too cluttered to me. I couldn't figure out a clean place to fit it without a looong wire to the distributor.
