Pro Flo4 fuel pump questiom

Hi Guys

I have the new Pro Flo4 system on my 67 and I just got it running my question is does the system have a fuel pump shut off to keep from burning up the pump for running out of gas ? I had a shop wire it in and when I picked it up guy said it's out of gas so I drive 4 blocks to gas station and roll in out of gas . I fill it up drive 2 blocks and the intank fuel pump quiets working. I get told since I ran it out gas it burned up the pump and has since been replaced. Is there anything that the system has that will shut down the fuel pump so I do not have this problem again ? I only have 150 miles on the car and other then that it runs great . Thanx in advance guys

Re: Pro Flo4 fuel pump questiom

Nope. Donít run out of gas. Minimum 1/8 tank at all times. No exceptions.
