Swing out door bars

Maybe some of you P/S guys can help. I'm looking for swing out door bar kits for my 69' pro street. I'm looking for the kind that are similar to a "pump shotgun" if that makes any sense.
I've got the pin type kit by Comp Engineering and don't care much for it. I've looked at S&W, Art Morrison, and Alston. No luck. Alston has some nicer kits, but I would prefer to find the pinless, spring loaded type.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Swing out door bars

Will do. It's in car jail right now having the tranny re-rebuilt. First time didn't take. But getting closer to being able to post some "respectable" pics. Sure are some beautiful cars here.
Thanks again for your help!

Re: Swing out door bars

David,
I've been mulling this over for quite a while. I contacted Alston (nice folks)concerning a few questions I had about their kit and ultimately decided that being mostly a street car, I would prefer having the door bar out of the car most of the time. I saw a pic on how Mike did his and after consulting with him decided to go that route. Ended up ordering a couple of clevis kits from A.R.T. yesterday.
I appreciate you finding that kit...I just couldn't sell myself on having the bar in the car all the time.
Thanks again for showing me that option and also thanks Mike for all your help as well.

Re: Swing out door bars

The kits showed up on Thursday and my fabricator buddy was by the house today. Since I'm not a welder and I want this to look good (and he owes me a favor or three) I figured I'll let him take care of this job.
The mock up looked nice with the seats I'm using so as soon as he gets back from the PRI show in Florida next Sunday, I should be able to start making some progress. Burnout had kinda set in but after the last week or so of talking cars I'm getting my motivation back...lists going, more parts ordered, restocked the beer fridge...
