Vibration in 4 link at 60 mph

I have a vibration in the back of the car at 60 when I decelerate it seems to get better when it warms up.I had it up on the lift and the diagonal link pivots or should I say twists very easy on the heigm ends. The drive shaft feals tight when I tug on it.The play in the right tire when I roll it back and forth seems to be more than the left.I ballenced the tires about a month ago and it seemed to get better not to much though it happened when I reached 80 mph.If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would appreciate it....Thanks in addvance.....

Is your drive shaft angle good, i dont know what degree it is supposed to be but it should angle down a bit.

Re: Vibration in 4 link at 60 mph

Dave are the rims centered on the studs, try taking all the lugs off and check the rim/studs for play (not centered). Also if yo have drums make sure the studs/holes in the drums are centered with the studs....

Ive had this problem with my 9" when i ordered new drums and axles. One more thing about the play in one wheel vrs the other, check the back lash. To much back lash will cause all sorts of problems.

My buddy and I just put new gears in it about 450 miles ago and the mesh was just about perfect.

Dave,

I know you have had the car together a year or so. Has it done it from the start or did it just start doing it? Have you changed anything resently.

Re: Vibration in 4 link at 60 mph

Vibration on decel usually means driveshaft angle. Should it not be around 4.5 degrees? That's where I set my 4-link in my 69 and it's perfect.
