After many years I finally got it fixed

If you have ever pulled a trailer that was loaded too heavy on the back then you know what it's like to have the back end start wagging when you got up to a certain speed. That is how my '69 Pro Street Camaro has been for many years. I've tried everything I could thing of to fix it. I even completely redid the rear suspension with a completely new rear end and coil over shocks a few years ago. I could never get it over 70 MPH because it would start wagging the tail and get pretty violent above that speed.

When I built the car many years ago the front sway bar was damaged, so thinking that I was building this car mostly to go straight, and that bar was heavy anyway, I decided to leave it off. That turned out to be a huge mistake. Yesterday I put a new Hotchkis sport bar on the front and it drives like a completely different car. I got it over 100 MPH today and it ran straight and smooth with no wobble at all. So after many years of working on it and a few thousand dollars of new parts that never fixed it I finally figured out what the problem was. So if you are thinking of saving some weight by leaving the bar off of the front of your car I'd recommend you think twice about it.

Sweet. I have heard of guys taking the front SB loose to help with weight transfer.
