Im running some 18x10's with 5.75bs on my 69.Tires are also 275/40/18's. I needed to trim the fender lips but other than that fit is perfect! My car has a 2" front/3" rear drop. Biggest problem I see is the fronts. If your car is low the 4.5" bs and 245's will most likely rub. My first set of front wheels were 4.75bs and it rubbed bad. I ended up with 5" bs fronts and it still rubs some with a passenger in the car.
The 69's seem to have a bit more room but check out "streetfighter68's" car on Pro-touring.com. He has a 68 and is running 18x10's with 5.5" bs. Tires are even wider at 285/35/18.
That car is NOT tubbed. All stock with rolled lips. The shocks have been relocated though.
