I think you will have to $ave $ome more $$$ to get what you want, unless you can do without true SS car or numbers matching. I spent a lot of time looking for the one that I ended up purchasing (SS396/325 convertible with TH400 trans, #s match). I added the tach and console gauge cluster. Had to fix several other things. It's more show car than driver. I even have the reproduction bias ply Firestones, which I will probably replace with radial tires.
If you want a driver, I would do as others suggested and look for a non-SS396 (maybe 327 or 350). Look for a good body, frame, and suspension. Then buy and install the engine and transmission of your choice. Build out the interior the way you want it. But I suspect it will still cost you around $50K before you are done.
