General Information

Year
1968
Make
Chevrolet
Model
Camaro
History
Purchased used in 1980 for $1,800. My first car purchased. Just a bone stock 68 with hugger orange paint. Had the original 327 worked over at a local race shop (Ken's Racing) and purchased a switch pitch turbo 400 from Darrell Young's racing transmission. Has 411's. Had a neighbor do all the body work and paint in his garage.

Modifications

Drivetrain
Original 327 or now a 331 ci after machine work. 10.25 compression with all the best components I could afford.
Interior
Basically a stock interior with the necessary equipment needed.
Exterior
Black and darkened features. Removed all running lights and emblems. Added new style side mirrors. Due to my favorite movie Aloha Bobby & Rose I flared the fenders some? An 80's thing I guess. Added hood and front/rear spoilers.
Audio
Kenwood system with 6X9 JBL's
Suspension
Front & rear sway bars, frame connecters, slide a links, koni race shocks. Front & rear disc. Saving now to update control arms and steering.
Wheel and Tire
Old school Center Lines. 15x7 fronts and 15X10 rears. Love those P295 R50's. Mickey T's for rubber.
