History
A true Barn find 69 Z/28. I had been looking for a Z/28 project car for a couple of months and posted on several FB groups. The seller messaged me in one of the groups but he wasn't actively trying to sell the car yet and was on the fence about selling it at all. he has memories of working on the car with his dad as a kid so I could understand how hard it must have been for him to sell it to me. According to my NCRS report the GM official production date was April 15th, 1969 and the Dealer was Modern Chevrolet in Lubbock, Texas. This Z/28 has been in Texas it's entire life until I bought it on July 13th and brought it home to Florida. The previous owner had bought it back around '91 and drove it around in high School but then it got parked for the last 20 years. He believes that he was the 2nd owner of the car. It has mostly all original sheet metal and very little rust. The trunk pan has some pitting in the middle section and has about a dozen small holes with most being pinhole size and a few of them being no bigger than a 1/2 inch but overall the trunk pan is solid. The only problem with the floors is the left and right side front section in front of the front seats. the rest is solid. I am having these things fixed now so I can get it on the road.
