Hello all new here... We just purchased what we thought was a Nova rear.. but when we got it home and did some research it appears that it is out of a 70 Camaro.. It is a 12 bolt with COS designation.. I dont think we are going to try and make it work.. So anyone needing this type of rear-end.. Please make us an offer and we will keep looking for one for our car.. thanx..

An 8.2" ring gear would make it a ten bolt rear end, not a twelve bolt. 1970 up (to 1981) had a one inch wider rear end with the spring perches welded at a slight angle three inches further apart compared to the '69 which had a 60 inch width backing plate to backing plate. The spring perches are 42-1/2 inches from center to center. Also the pinion is offset on the '67-'69 rear end by 1/2 inch from center, which means that it will be 29 1/2 inches from the center of the pinion to the end of the right axle and 30 1/2 inches from the center of the pinion to the end of the left axle.

Go to www.nastyz28.com and post it on the free classifieds there. It is a second gen Camaro web sight and you will find many more people interested in it. By the way, what do you want for it? I'm always looking for good 12 bolt rear ends to rebuild.
