The dust shield on my pinion yoke is rattling. I intend to replace the assembly. However, the yoke appears to be a 1330 style because the universal is strapped with bolts rather than u-bolts as the 1310 yoke is equipped in most instances.



I need to pull the old yoke off and replace it in as short a time as possible and therefor need to have the replacement in hand.


Is there any possibility that a 1310 would use the straps/bolts or should I just go ahead and order in a 1330?

Thank you....my best bet would be to order in the 1330 yoke and the combo U-joint...if it's a 1330 in there now, I can reuse the U-joint; if a 1310, I'll have the combo...

I just changed the pinion yoke on my 67, the old one had straps and the replacement had u-bolts. It’s a 1310

Seems the yoke with the straps has more material supporting the u-joint caps than the yoke with the u-bolts. I went with the strap style when building my 8.5.
