I just purchased a new Chevelle project and need some advice and information. The temperature and oil pressure lights do not work on the dash cluster. After checking things out I found the cause of the problem, the bulb sockets are bad. The car takes a # 1895 standard twist in type bulb, nothing unusual for the time. The bulb sockets are plastic with two integrated pigtail wires, one for the ground and one for the power source. Can anyone tell me where I can find new bulb sockets? The only thing I have been able to locate is a bulb holder for a printed circuit dash (Standard # S-503A), this will not work for this application. I need a socket with two wires. Any help will be welcomed.
Thanks, Bill

I don't know of anywhere to purchase just those sockets. Somebody might make them but your best bet might be to try to find donors from another harness. I also will send you a PM shortly.

You could also check over the the Chevelles site...

You can always take the guts out of the socket and solder the wires right to the bulb. It's not like you're ever going to change it. :)
