Hey,

I had a few 67's.

My Brother n law just got a SS 396 in peices.

The trim tag is there but it is different from my 67

Where does it say that it is an ss an where does it say ss ?

The book doesn't help!

I tried camaros. org and that got me confused or maybe it is all this medicine for a kidney stone.

I figure one of you guys know this.

be good

So basically if the engine matches the vin it is a SS as this is a 396 and should go tic toc?

Not squat for ss huh? How about the rs or z-28 ?

How about the rear and trans?

That (an original VIN stamped, matching BB) would be the only way for sure to tell.

It should have a 12-bolt, but so did the SS 350 cars and L30/M20 (327/275 4-speed) cars.

If it has a TH400 with a matching partial VIN, it was a BB.

If the taillight panel is factory blacked out, that's another BB cue, but if the car has been painted, it's hard to prove.

All the other BB cues (heater box, engine stands, trans crossmember) can be added easy enough.
