Hi Guys,

Wanted to share these pics and get some feedback. Was looking at a really sweet Camaro on eBay with the 68' special door trim which I have been looking at in the box for a few weeks now. Just wanted to take the car over to a friend who owns a body shop first to make sure my gaps look good and maybe even help me put it on so I don't scratch my paint but then I noticed this. Now, I have some real concern about how and why this is the case because its not right. Like I said, I will take this over to a friend of mine in a few weeks when the weather here in Chicago improves but would love to see what you guys think. Thanks again.

P.S Sorry for the car being a little dirty, not as rough as the pics make it look haha

You mean the quality of the picture or what's in the picture? Haha. Agreed both ways but wanted to show you what I have so it had to be a close up. Any ideas why its so far off? Fender too tight in at the top? Windshield maybe just done poorly and needs to be pulled apart and done again?

Let me open the proverbial kimono a little wider for you guys. This is my real cause for concern because seeing this many shims, leaves me thinking this car got popped on the passenger side and they fixed it up mediocrely. Same nut on driver side and passenger for comparison. And ya sorry for the glare its a real pain in the you know what but without the flash its impossible to see anything.

I was thinking that could be possible, I just see the rub marks in that corner and think something has to be off with how its hung. I just wonder why both sides are off, not familiar with how that trim is on there but I doubt it was a poor windshield install and its just pushed out. That passenger side has rub marks (which you can see in that pic) so I'm just worried there was damage poorly covered and I will be putting in a new windshield frame which sounds like a pretty major repair.

It looks like it but truth be told I'm not an expert on what I'm looking for but to my eye, it does not look out of whack. I'm going to do a Roadster shop chassis over the winter when I do a grander overhaul so that might move things around anyways and give me a better idea of what is needed here. First year with the car so still figuring out its quirks.

I just wanted to put that 68' door chrome with the sweeps on but if I do that with the trim out of whack, I might be shooting myself in the foot screwing that in and then needing to move it a half inch to its proper position closer to the windshield trim later.
