Hi everyone does this look to be an original 69 engine pad stamp all the others I’ve seen the numbers are a lot further to the right also has no vin stamped on it with a build date of first week in may what you think

i could send u pic of mine I believe similar not sure how to post.
my dz stamp people at first didn’t like. Then I measured block, it was never touched. No decking or anything. Then with damn good magnifying glass found vin stamped by oil filter. Take a look by filter, if u have the car and vin matches it helps u prove this stamp

It’s a picture from a picture it’s all I have for now I’m just looking at where the stamp is on the pad seems to far to the left from others I’ve seen

I'd say the location is fine. Generally, the partial VIN for a 05A NOR build would be by the oil filter. LOS build could be either location.

You bet. 69 was the only year to have the partial stamped by the oil filter. Not a good idea...
