Hey. I'm not the most car literate but I have have a question. I own a 1980 Camaro Z28. It has T-tops. I have heard alot that the T-topped Camaros had alot of flex to them. Is this true and if so is there anything that I can do to minimize if not resolve the problem? I appreciate any help.

Convertables were supplied with extra bracing underneath the car. I'd take a look under one for a start.

The T top is better torsionally than a convertable.
What are you intending to do with the car?

Thanks. It has a 350 in it now. I was planning on building it up to a point. Nothing real extravagent but something capable of holding it's own. If that made any sense. I was possibly thinking about a engineering the 350 to a 383. No racing (well not at the drag, but not alot).

At least add subframe connectors. It will stiffen the car and you will notice a difference in the way it drives if you drive it hard. Its a cheap investment if you plan on adding more power. Even if you don't go carzy with power you should still add them
