I just installed UMI Performance sub-frame connectors and driveshaft loop in my 1999 SS. I've found that the ride has noticeably gotten much stiffer. I already had the 1999 optional bilstein springs and shocks and the car was always stiff, but not rough. Now that I've got the connectors installed the car is substantially stiffer almost to the uncomfortable level. Has anyone else found this to be true? Is this the price I have to pay to keep the body straight over the years of hard launches?

I honestly bought and installed these pieces just for peace of mind. I do take the car to the track occaisionally but don't race it professionally. I'm just wondering if I'm a newbie to the world of race car suspension or if I'm a bit off the curve here somehow. Did I over-do it for a street car? I would never have thought so, but the ride is really quite noticeably stiffer now.
