I have a 2002 camaro V6 3.8 and the computer is reading that the #6 cyclinder is misfiring and i have changed the air filter, oil, spark plugs, wires, distrubtor and yet it still is missing and at 2500-3000 RPM's it back fires. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Re: 2002 camaro issues

Run a compression check on #6?

Is the injector energizing?

How many miles...could the injector (s) be plugged?

on my LS1 with my tuners you can run an injector "click" test to make sure the wiring is solid and you are getting plunger movement...not sure if software would be available to run on the V6

swap the injector with one on a different cylinder to see if the misfire moves. you can also swap a couple of the coils to see if that changes anything.
