It's that time of year again, and while this gathering is not limited to Team Camaro members, it was originally a group of Team Camaro members that was the foundation of this event. We've done this event for a few years now, and so far everyone that has participated seems to have enjoyed themselves. So if you can get to the starting point in Southern NH, and would like to participate, this is your invitation. If interested, let me know and I'll get you the details, but here is a general description of the event;

We meet at a Dunkin Donuts at 9:00am on Sunday morning, September 18th (bad weather date the following Sunday, September 25th). We depart our initial meeting location for an approximate two hour classic car cruise on secondary scenic roads of NH which includes a break/rest about halfway into the cruise, and then return to my house around lunch time for a cookout hosted by my wife and I. The gathering at our home includes time to checkout each others rides, socializing and relaxing while getting to know everyone better and of course some great food and beverages (adult beverages are allowed). While many of the classic cars participating are 1st Generation Camaro's, we don't exclude any classic car owners that are interested in participating.

There you have it, the invitation is out, let me know?

Bump!
Looking forward to being on the road with the NH crew again.
Will the weather hold?
Right now the weather is not looking like it will cooperate for this Sunday, so we may have to go with the bad weather date of next Sunday. I'll make the decision Saturday and let everyone know. On a positive note, tomorrow (Saturday) looks great for the last Classic Blasting Cars & Coffee event of this year!

The weather for tomorrow, September 18th, does not look great. It might not be a complete wash out, but certainly won't be ideal for a classic car cruise and cookout. With this in mind and being that we already have a bad weather date of next Sunday, September 25th set aside, we are going to hold off and reschedule it for next Sunday with the hope the weather will be much better. This is the first time we've had to use the alternate bad weather date, and we all knew eventually it would happen.

Bummer about the weather, I don't know if I can make the rain date next weekend.

But I may have broken my car at the track, so at least I have an extra week to figure that out.
That doesn't sound good, I mean your not being able to make the rain date AND you possibly having broken your car at the track. What's up with your car?

Not really sure. I've got a rattle/grumble coming from somewhere when I engage the clutch. Sounds like the back of the engine/bell housing area. Definitely in front of, and to the right of me in the drivers seat.

My plan was to drive it tomorrow and see if it grenades. Need to do some diagnosis.

Do you also hear the same noise with the clutch pedal released and transmission in neutral?

No, I only hear it when taking off from a stop. Nothing in neutral with the pedal in or out. Shifting gears is fine. Cruising is fine.

I checked all my front suspension, everything is newish, lubed and tight. I was hoping it was a suspension creaking noise.

If a good visual inspection doesn't reveal any issue(s) then perhaps some driving will. Will be waiting to hear/learn what you find?

Here are a few photos from the cruise, first one is from the departure location when my wife and I first arrived, I didn't get any others before the cruise as she and I both needed coffee. The other four are at the end of the cruise after we parked for the cookout. Tom (MelroseRS) had to duck out at the cruise half-way point and head for home due to other commitments so unfortunately his 67 RS isn't in any of these photos. Tom took some GoPro video which he edited and posted to YouTube that can be viewed from the link below the photos. This event was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 18th but for the first time the weather didn't cooperate so we used our bad weather date of the following Sunday and as can be seen in Tom's video, the weather was excellent and worth waiting a week for. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the day, looking forward to another one in 2017.
