any differences between a pontiac 305ci v8 from 1984 and a chevy 305ci v8 from 1984?
they are both carburated.

or can i use any chevy smallblock piece on a pontiac smallblock

my maro has a pontiac in it

If it is a 305 not a 301 Pontiac engine it is a 305 SBC.They are called corporate engines but are smallblock Chevys.

If they physically look the same it will work.Around that time frame Olds,Pontiac and Buick I believe used Chevy engines.I remember a lot of non Chevy owners complaining about it back then.No thats something to complain about??
