can you remove a 327 oil pan without lifting the engine?
is it possible or i do i have to lift the engine?:confused:

You will have to loosen the motor mounts and raise the motor.

If you raise the engine and put a short piece of 2X4 with the 4" part (I think - it was quite a while ago) up between the motor mount and the frame stand you will have enough clearance to remove the pan. You'll have to have the crank indexed to a certain position though so the pan will clear the rods. I know this will work as I've done it before but I don't remember what position the crank has to be in.

I believe the timing mark has to be at the 6 oclock position.
