Correct me if i am wrong but i thought that only the ZL1's came with the ALL alum motors and the copo's which the yenko's were the iron block with the alum heads??? I think it is a fake.. i could be wrong??????
Yenko bought the rights to cast the ZL-1 blocks for GM. This engine isn't out of an original ZL-1; it would be a counter replacement built in the 70's I believe or available over the counter from Yenko and assembled as a ZL-1 style motor.
I also have one of the Yenko aluminum blocks in my 69 although it's stamped into the block, not cast; this was what I was told.
Clill, what's the true story?
