I have question about my new edelbrock. I have a 1969 Camaro SS with a 383. 10 to 1 compression and trick flow heads. I took my old 850 cfm Holley Double Pumper off and decided I should actually drive it around now so I put on a 600 edelbrock. I put it on and finally got the car started, but it doesn't seem to run right. How do I adjust the two screws in the front, I have never tuned a edelbrock before. ALso what timing should I be running at. Any info would greatly be appreciated.

The two screws in the front are just the idle mixture screws. You can buy a jet and metering rod kit for the Edlebrock for more fine tuning. If you can tune a Holley, you have the basics down and can easily tune the Edlebrocks. The metering rods can be tricky, but not that hard to dial in. What type of problems are you experiencing with the new carb? The more info the better. We'll try to help as best as we can.

The Edelbrocks are pretty straightforward. If you didn't buy it new you may want to check first and make sure it's got stock metering rods and jets. When you tune the carb, the Edelbrock tuning book will direct you to move so many steps richer or leaner from stock. It's a little easier if you start with the stock setup or at least know what's in the carb and where that puts you on their tuning chart. If you don't already have the tuning book and strip kit (jets and metering rods) I'd highly recommend one.
