I see on the crg site that the 67 and 68 are the same but the 69 frame mounts were made to use the thicker motor mount. So if I use the 67-68 mounts I use the thinner mount and the 69 frame mounts I use the thicker one. My question is does one make for better big block fitment in the car or using either set puts the motor in the same spot? Thanks, Mark

I was under the assumption that all the small block frame mounts are the same for first gen Camaros and 68 thru 72 Nova's (cause they all use the same subframe)
The Big blocks are the same also for first gen Camaro's and 68 thru 72 Nova's again. Now the motor mounts were different, but they all fit from small block to big block, the bolt patterns were all the same (Thank you GM engineers that had a brain that worked)
Now if I'm understanding the question correctly, the answer to your question is you can run whatever you want the thicker one or the thinner one. (I have done this when swapping motors many years ago, going from a Big block to a small block )

On my 67, I originally installed the big block with the 67-68 small block frame stands and mounts. When I redid the engine, I purchased 69 big block frame stands and mounts and it fits "better". By that I mean the clearance around the engine. It was a subtle improvement but I think it was worth it. I think you should read the CRG article Camaro - Engine again because it explains in more depth what is changed between the years and small vs. big block. That said, the small block stands did work.

So the following statement would be true

If I use the 67-68 frame mounts with the 67-68 motor mounts I will get the same result if I use the 69 frame mounts with the 69 motor mounts to put a big block in my 67?

Big block mounts offset the motor to the Passenger side for clearance. Don't use a small block mount for a BB.
