Looking to replace my power steering box, but have a question. Looking in Rick's catalog, they offer a fast, constant and variable ratio box.

Can I use the fast ratio without the shorter steering arms and pitman?

Has anyone tried these boxes from Rick's?

Does anyone know of a quality rebuilder in San Jose, CA?

Thanks for any tips or thoughts....

The boxes that Rick's has are stock replacement units. They are not the firm feeling box that most people want. Look into an AGR unit or swap in the IROC 3rd generation box. Do a search, tons of info. here.

Thanks for the info. After reading many posts, I think the AGR is what I am after. I am uncertain if the fast 12:1 or the variable 13:1 is what I want. I see many posts debating either, but not sure how to make a final decision. I probably wont be driving my car soon enough to leverage a swap from AGR if I pick the wrong one. Is 12:1 too hardcore for a mostly stock convertible cruiser?
