I just purchased this 67 RS that has some pretty rare options and wanted to see what everyone thought. It has a rough exterior and will need a total restoration but is exactly the car I wanted. It does not have the original engine but may be a 67 GM replacement engine, I still need to verify that. My plans are to make it a LS1 car and store the current engine.

The car was stored for 25 or more years and even has a AM/FM 8-track player still installed. Almost nothing has been changed on the car with the exception of a 68 non RS front clip.

Here is the decoded cowl tag with production numbers I put together from a site on the internet.

03D = Built the Fourth week of March.
67-12637 = Custom Interior Coupe.
NOR = Built in Norwood Ohio.
732 = Custom Bright Blue Bucket Seats.
Y = (AS2) Buckets and Head Rest. 2,342
E-E = Car Color is Deepwater Blue 3.5%

Options:
1X = (A31) Power Windows 4,957
1L = (A67) Fold-down rear seat 17,993
2E = (C60) Air Conditioner 28,226
2M = (M35) Powerglide Transmission 127,727
2G = (D55) Console front compartment 129,477
2R = (U80) Speaker rear 27,701
3B = (C50) Defogger rear window 7,031
3D = (U29) Courtesy Lamp 23,691
3L = (Z22) Rally Sport Package 64,842
4F = (D33) Mirror Remote Control 8,630
5B = (V32) Rear Large Bumper Guards 35,029
5Z = (A85) Shoulder harness - Deluxe 894
5Y = (A39) Belts All Deluxe 51,247
Custom Interior Package 69,103
Front Disc Brakes 14,899
Front Console 129,477
Special Instrumentation clock tach, etc, 27,078
Soft Ray tinted glass all Windows 34,752
Power Steering 92,181

This is my 4th 1st gen, but the first in 15 years. My first was a 68 6-cylinder I drove all through high school.

Thanks for any comments. Jay

I'm all about LS motors but I probably would not use this car for a swap car.

But if you do then great. If the existing motor is not original to the car then what's the point of storing it?

I know, but I have always wanted a LS car. If it were the original engine I would not consider it.

I will only store the engine if it was a factory GM replacement engine. Otherwise it is not worth keeping, and may not be worth it even then.
