Hi All:
I'm getting my '68 dash pad back from Just Dashes in about a week or two and I have a question on the two "retaining clips" that push into the dash that hold the bottom "legs" of the pad to the dash. I bought a set from Rick's. How do these retainers stay in the dash??
It seems to me that if you put them in hole in the dash and then push the dash pegs through, that would push the clip through the dash as well?? Do you have to hold them behind the dash as the pegs on the pad get pushed though?? Help!!?? I just want to be armed and ready with all the info I need prior to tackling the project.

I've not seen the repro clips, but the originals are mounted from the front. When the dash pad is pushed in, the pin on the pad spreads the clip and holds it tight against the dashboard.

I just removed my stock pad and those things were tight in there!!!
