Just sharing my experience here as it was a tough one. I will start off by saying that I should have installed an Ididit tilt column and didn't want to "waste" the money at the time. Picked out my Momo steering wheel after searching for weeks and I was happy. They did not make a hub that fit a pre-69 column so I did a little research. Found out that Classic Parts of America(truck website) had one - part # IN-3642(67-68 chevy hub) to be used in conjunction with part # 27-2712(horn contact wire). I went with a smaller Momo wheel, but my big thigh still hits the wheel getting in unless I contort myself into the car. Decided to try a quick disconnect. Most of the ones on the market would put the steering wheel into my chest until I found a low profile option: NRG - SRK-400CF. Ordered it and quickly came to find out it does not work with the '68 style hub - the hub wall was too thick and kept the quick release from turning. Called NRG to find out that they made an adapter ring(spacer) about 3/8" thick to bolt to the hub and then bolt on the quick release - stupid design! Did not work - was still too tight and would not let the quick release turn. Also clocked the wheel to the right as the holes you used to bolt the spacer onto the hub were not the same you used to bolt the quick release to the spacer. Called NRG and they said to send everything back for a refund and they offer no other options or suppport. As a last ditch effort, I googled issues and found out that someone posted up a fix - Crowder actually makes the same spacer in a thinner design that works with the NRG quick release. I decided to give it a try. Crowder part # 6061-T6. Works perfectly and they also give you longer bolts to through bolt the quick disconnect through the spacer and into the hub so that the steering wheel is clocked right - genius I say. To boot, the Crowder spacer ring had better installation directions than the NRG Quick disconnect did as well lol. Anyway I figured I would post this up in the event it would help someone. Kinda glad I went this route in the end as it is just another layer of theft deterrent. Links below

I alway use the adapter from Forever Sharp an MOMO wheels. They are good quality, fit perfect and good prices.

I installed the NRG QD with a MOMO wheel on my 67. worked great.

Good to know there is another source. AI didn't think of contacting them, but did go through a bunch of others like Grant, NRG and Sparco

On my 67 I used and ididit tilt, Forever Sharp adapter, NRG and Momo completion wheel. I use the arm wheel on all my cars. Love the look and feel
