Hi
I have a 68 Z with the 6K Tach, when i got the car the tach didn't work, so I pulled apart some wiring and figured out they weren't connected correctly. Now I have everything reconnected and I am getting a what appears to be a positive voltage to the tach that increases with engine speed. However the tach isn't moving, so the questions.
1. does the coil send a positive voltage to the tach?
2. Are there any recommendations for companies that fix the tach and roughly what is the cost?
3. Should i just buy a period correct replacement tach even though mine is a true 6K tach?
