I just got a new rear seat divider board from Rick's 1st generation. I got the one with the juted backing on it for extra sound deadening. I have read some of the posts on seat dividers and see that they have put the black surface facing towards the trunk. Which I think would look best also. But with the punch outs in the board there is only one way that it will go. And that is for the black backing to face the seat and the jute backing facing the trunk. Anyone else run into this issue? And what way should it go? I had the guy at Rick's tell me that it mounts from inside the trunk. No way! I also think that I read something about the divider board and it making the rear seat hard to remove. Can someone enlighten me or correct me on that? Thanks.

From the factory the jute faces the trunk. Lots of people have reversed it just for looks.

Note that the Camaro didn't come this way though. It's an aftermarket add-on. First Gen Firechickens did have the jute so that's what the repop houses sell.

Thanks, that's what I did. If you reverse it, you need to make new cut outs to hang it. At least on the one that I purchased you'd have to. Also the cut out for the drive shaft tunnel will be off set if you reverse it.
