I have a 85 camaro and want to know if the disc brake setup is woth keeping for
future use on say a 55-57 chevy? I've heard the setups from 70 Monte carlo's are more sought after! Whats the difference?
Should I just junk the car with the brakes on it? or should i hang on to them?
PS: I'm parting out the car.

I used a 72 nova rotor on a 57 chev. Direct bolt on to stock spindle. Ihad to do some home work on bearings and seals, also fabed up caliper bracket, wasnt to difficult. I would keep them but I'm a pack rat.

The reason the Monte Carlo disc brake set up is because they basically a bolt on for 64-72 Chevelle's, 67-69 Camaro's, and 68-74 Nova's. This cannot be said about the 3rd generation Camaro disc set up. However, parts of it may be used in some of the aftermarket kits.
