i wonder how a HOT cam kit would work in an otherwise stock TPI motor?
probably not too well without other upgrades, since the TPI runs setup runs out of steam right when the HOT cam starts to shine..
I got a lot of good responses when I asked about this cam in my stock 305. It's the "upgrade" cam or "RV", says performance on the box . So I installed it. This 305 still sucks! Slow as a turtle.

I spent some time lurking around over at www.thirdgen.org to learn more about the Fuel injected motors. It probably won't have a rough idle but, the 305 TPI engines respond well to the stock GM LT1 roller cams that were installed in mid '90's model Corvettes. Provided you get the proper EPROM chip to support the cam.
