My sons 94 camaro with the 350 in it has developed a problem, it is lagging on acceleration, will not go over 80, and when you are heavy on the throttle it sounds like there a belt loose at the rear of the engine( i Know there is no belts there, it what it sounds like)
I have poked around alittle looking for loose hoses and a plugged intake but I don't see anything that looks like a problem.
I am a diesel man myself so any help in where to start looking next would be much appreciated

oxygen sensors will cause a loss of power and the engine to run lean. have they ever been changed? have you had the vehicle scanned by an obd 1 tester to see if their is an issue the pcm recognized?

The earlt LT1'S did suck intake gaskets and cause lean, conditions, and/or smoke if they
went to the inside. and there are a lot of other vacuum leak areas.
